Origin:

Amagama Art was founded in 2022 by Nqobile Khuzwayo. The name was inspired by WordArt, a built-in feature within Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. WordArt is a text styling tool that allows users to create decorative, stylized text with effects such as shadows, curves, gradients, outlines, and 3D looks.

The name "Amagama Art" was crafted by translating the first word of the feature, "Word" into Zulu in its plural form, giving us "Amagama," while retaining the second part, "Art." Together, they form Amagama Art.
