Tools and supplies:

  • Nylon rope
  • Size 8/0 light green plastic beads
  • Size 8/0 yellow plastic beads
  • Size 8/0 dark green plastic beads
  • Polyester thread
  • Needle
  • Glue gun
  • Glue sticks
  • Measuring tape
  • Scissors
  • Pen

Step 1: Measure Your Wrist. Size Using a measuring tape, measure your wrist circumference. Add 6 cm to this measurement to ensure the bangle will slide smoothly from your hand onto your wrist. For reference, bangles typically come in three sizes: large (24 cm), medium (22 cm), and small (20 cm).

Step 2: Measure and Mark the Rope. Using your wrist measurement from Step 1, measure the rope with a measuring tape. This rope will serve as the foundation of your bangle. Mark the desired length on the rope with a pen.


Step 3: Cut the Rope Using scissors, cut the rope at the marked length. This will be your bangle's final size.

Step 4: Apply Glue Using a hot glue gun, apply glue to one end of the rope.


Step 5: Join the Ends After applying the glue, press the two ends of the rope together firmly and hold for 10 seconds until dry.


Step 6: Start Sewing. Thread a needle and secure it to the rope by sewing a small stitch and tying a knot.


Step 7: Create Seven Rows of Light Green Beads. String the light green beads onto your thread, then wrap them around the rope. Continue wrapping until you have completed seven rows of beads.


Step 8: Add One Row of Yellow Beads. String the yellow beads onto your thread, then wrap them around the rope to create a single row.


Step 9: Seven rows of dark green beads. Insert dark green beads onto the thread, then roll them around the rope. This will create seven complete rows of beads covering the rope.


Step 10: Add one row of yellow beads. Insert a single row of yellow beads onto the thread, then roll the beads around the rope.


Step 11: Repeat the pattern. Continue covering the rope with this bead pattern until complete.


Step 12: Secure the final beads. Once the pattern is complete, secure the design by threading the needle through the rope and tying a tight knot to hold the beads in place.
